SEF Welcoming Wave: A Brand New Day
Every organizational period marks more than just the beginning of a new administration, it also marks the beginning of a new journey. Bringing together individuals from different backgrounds, personalities, and experiences, Student English Forum (SEF) enters each new period with a shared aspiration to grow, collaborate, and create meaningful impact together as one organization. However, every great journey starts with a single step. Before discussing work programs, responsibilities, and organizational targets, it is equally important to build the foundation that enables every team to work effectively, such as trust, communication, and a genuine sense of connection among its members. With this spirit, SEF presents The Welcoming Wave, an internal program held at the beginning of every organizational period to welcome all newly inaugurated organizers and serves as the first opportunity for organizers to get to know one another, establish meaningful relationships, and begin their organizational journey together in a warm and supportive environment.
For the 2026 organizational period, The Welcoming Wave was held at Warkop Sumringah from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, bringing together organizers from various departments in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and warmth. The event began with an introduction session, where each organizer introduced themselves, and was followed by a series of fun games that encouraged interaction and teamwork among participants. As a symbol of officially becoming part of the SEF family, organizers also received their official PDH and SEF membership pin, marking the beginning of their commitment to the organization. And finally, the event concluded with a deep-talk and socialization session between the new organizers, their respective department coordinators, and the President and Vice President of SEF. Through open discussions, participants had the opportunity to share expectations, gain a deeper understanding of their departments, and establish stronger communication with their leaders from the very beginning.
